Invisible Man Essay

Invisible Man is a story that is told through not a character, but the vote counter. He is a black composition struggling in a white humanskinds world, just act to survive. The narrator starts the story off with details on his earlier life and how he became to be the person he is now. He does this through going into detail of his college days, saying how he bring in the respect from the administration through working hard, with one man who becomes fairly important in the course of the story patrimonial his attention is Dr. Bledsoe. Dr. Bledsoe was the black administrator of his take aim, and becomes the narrators mentor. The evidence for the narrators idolization to Dr. Bledsoe is that he is a well respected man in the white mans world and this is what fuels the narrator to work hard, he wants to be treated as Dr. Bledsoe is. Later in the story, the narrator feels betrayed by Bledsoe, whom he so admires, when he kicks him out of school because he showed Mr. Norton to a rundown black neighborhood, showing him the form of a less than ideal black mans life. The narrator is shattered, by having the person he idealizes turn on him. Almost straight after, the narrator moves to New York, hoping to start a new life. fiddling does he know what waits ahead for him.
