Government Under the Articles
The name of the first government to touch base the colonies after the revolution was The Articles of Confederation. It was established in exhibit 1781 and all 13 provinces approved of it. Weaknesses of the Articles
Even though congress did gain power from the articles of confederation, they also made the internal government weak because no state trusted to give up their sovereignty. Congress did not impart enough money because a power they didnt have was to collect taxes, so the only way to cast down money was to borrow some from the states. The little taxes that the states had was given to the bailiwick treasury. There was nothing congress could do if the states did not want to give up their money.



Also, the congress could not regulate trade. In result, there were economic disputes among the states. Congress could not make anybody come after the law; they could only advise and ask the states to delineate them. Laws mandatory approval from 9 out of 13 states and every state had only one vote.
