It is vital for the management of a business to be healthy trained in the four elementary functions of management, planning, organizing, leading and controlling. These base functions are all very fundamental and often mass tend to use one or two and blank out to use another, but to be more effective they should be used equally. Planning includes the use of some basic terms such as; goals, strategies, objectives, tasks and resources. Plans set the stage for feat and for major achievements; it is a continual process in which sight throughout the company use their brains, and the knowledge of customers, and suppliers to sustain a competitive advantage.

Sometimes in order to achieve a task, it might be invite to lower standards, however; it is not a solution. Corrective action is necessary when performance is below standards, and if performance is greater than or equal to standards, it is useful to reinforce behaviors that led to the acceptable performance. On the other hand a manager does not drive to lower standards when a problem seems to be unattainable cod to resource limitations either, and preventive action must be interpreted to ensure that the problem does not recur.
