Racial Profiling
Beginning with the attack on drop Harbor in December 1941, racial indite has had a foothold on the United States. Gathering of Japanese citizens and placing them in internment camps during the war was just the beginning of racial profiling in America. Seventy years later people are still discriminated against simply because they are of a nonher color or from countries that promotes terrorism. Law enforcement is at the crux of racial profiling and has apply it as a tool in the war on crime. Although the United States Government has taken steps to prevent racial profiling from happening, there is no way to stop it completely and innocent citizens are suffering because of it.
Terry Precedent
Heard by the Supreme Court in 1968, the case of Terry vs. Ohio was base on the rights and privileges provided in the Fourth Amendment as it relates to the frisk rules of depend and seizure. The profile of this case began on October 31, 1963 in Cleveland, Ohio, when Detective Martin McFadden sight two men standing on a highway corner, John W. Terry and Richard Chilton.
According to Detective McFadden, the men appeared to be acting in a suspicious manner by passing through the same route several quantify and looking in at the same window to each one time they passed. McFadden also claimed to have seen them have suspicious conversations and at a later point were joined by a third person who also began to converse with the two men.
McFadden became exceedingly dubious of the acts going on and he assumed the tether men were about to commit a robbery. He followed the one-third men where they rejoined each other at another route corner. The officer approached the three men and asked for their names and the men mumbled something that could not be understood by McFadden. John W.
