Education has a history derived of many different theories, practices, and rationales. there be many arguments as to why one modal value of thinking and/or doing is better than another. My ideal curriculum is structured mainly on the theories of Lev Vygotsky. The Vygotsky fulfill models are viewed as play-based programs, where play is not necessarily a way for pleasure, but a necessary phase for a barbarians developmental growth. In the Trawick-Smith model, almost any action in which the shaver freely chooses, finds enjoyment in, and is function oriented, is viewed as play.
In this thinking, supposing a child chooses to go to a literacy focus to practice writing their name, this activity would be viewed as the child actively playing, so long as the child was the one who had made the choice to do so. The key to this idea is that the child independently makes the choice of where, or how to play (Frost, Wortham, & Reifel, 2008).
