The turning point in any story is when the plot of ground shifts and there is a new perspective to the novel. However, short after, Elizabeth hears some horrid stories of Mr. Darcy, and drops her admiration, returning to the hatred of his character. Ultimately, both Darcy and Elizabeth are tied up in each others prejudices. Elizabeth sees Darcy as nothing more than a proud, arrogant, wealthy man.
On the other hand, Darcy is overwhelmed by Elizabeths low class, lack of wealth and large family. He feels shame for falling in complete with her.
At the point in the novel when Elizabeth reads Darcys letter, both Darcy and Elizabeth recognize their faults. Elizabeth realized she only believed those awful stories because she motivationed to believe Darcy was bad, and Darcy overcomes his prejudices. This is the most significant aspect of the novel because for the first time, everything is exhibited by dint of clear and unprejudiced eyes. Pride and in essence, prejudice, are cardinal aspects to both Darcy and Elizabeth, and play significant roles in their faults.
