 harper Lee was born on April 28, 1926 to Frances Finch Cunningham Lee and Amasa Coleman Lee.  Harpers mother was one of the founding families in Finchburg, Alabama. She was the uttermost child born to the Lee family, which already included two girls and a boy.  Harper and her family lived in Monroeville, Alabama.  As a schoolboyish child growing up in Alabama, she became friends with an extremely shy boy named Truman Capote who spent his summer vacations in her hometown. afterward on she based the character Dill on her childhood friend. Truman eventually grew up to become a famous writer just like Harper Lee.  Harper began writing at the young person age of seven.  She continued to write throughout her young life.       She graduated from Monroeville High School in 1944.  After graduation, she attended an all female school in Montgomery, Alabama, known as Huntingdon College.  After a year at Huntingdon College, she transferred to the University of Alabama, with one more semester to go she decided that she would much preferably be a writer and moved to the Big City, advanced York. Harper Lee did not pursue a righteousness degree; she wanted to be roughthing more.
