Literacy Narrative

After reading and spirit Mr. Rodriguez story, it made me think stern to my Spelling Bee competition back in the eighth grade. I was new to the competition, which made me anxious and just aboutwhat intimidated by the other kids. I arrived at school, where the competition was being held and quickly reviewed some of the words for the competition.

As time went by both judges and students arrived one at a time, with students having high hopes of winning. We all walked inside the auditorium and glancing at the wall, I saw quite possibly the worst painting Ive ever seen, it looked like a robot with fairly critical hands and lengthy fingers. Its knees were disfigured and the paint choice was well(p) frightful for my eyes. The cool air from the A/C peach my face with such force of two trains colliding. Most kids had in force(p) faces as if there was a prize for whoever had the most dear face. Some just seemed really ecstatic to be there.

walkway up the stage I looked at the room and it wasnt until I sat down I realized how enormous it was, I felt like a dot in a middle of a circle, with hundreds of eyes looking at me.



I looked around and saw my mom whose smile could alight up a whole room, which made me feel little nervous. I waited for my turn in the third round later an impressive first two rounds; there were only a couple of us remaining in a tailfin round competition.

As the competition went on the words became more difficult. My word for this round was Disoblige. I stood there with a blank look in my face, as if someone has told me some really devastating news. I remembered I had reviewed the word in the lead I just couldnt put it together. Time was rails out and so were my chances of winning.
