One might turn on the TV to grab the evening word these days and be bombarded with images of war, homicides, burglary and stories of citizens victimized in their own communities. I ask myself if discourtesy is really on the increase or is it just media hype? Newspaper headlines , the tidings broadcast , magazines and the internet depict action photos of the latest tragedies. Should the open be fearful of what the television conveys to us/Does the media spends too more or too little time reporting nuisance? And how does these impact perceptions of public safety?
